Martin Dubravka insists he cannot be regarded as a Newcastle hero, despite his impressive display in their 1-0 win over Manchester United.
The Slovakia international only arrived at St James' Park on transfer Deadline Day but immediately endeared himself to the Toon Army after keeping a clean sheet on his debut against Jose Mourinho's side.
But Dubravka, who is on loan from Sparta Prague until the end of the season, is not getting carried away by his performance against Manchester United.
"Okay I made one save, but I didn't want to celebrate it," he said ahead of Saturday's game against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
"Many people said to me after the game I was a hero. My reaction was, 'It was the first game, you will forget this'", he said.
"Many of my friends were sending me messages before the game reminding me that we were playing Man United and asking me if I realised that. I said, 'Of course. Thank you so much for this information.'
